Last Good Season

The 1956 Brooklyn Dodgers were the defending World Series champions and one of the tightest teams in baseball. Their roster reads like a Hall of Fame list: Jackie Robinson, Pee Wee Reese, Duke Snider, Gil Hodges, and Roy Campanella. The `56 season proved memorable as the Dodgers battled the Milwaukee Braves and Cincinnati Reds for the pennant right up to the final day of the season. These were good times in Brooklyn.
