A Black Englishman

Isabel Herbert, traumatized by the death of her lover in World War I, escapes England by making a hasty marriage and traveling to India with her husband, an army officer. There she immediately falls in love with a wealthy Indian doctor who was educated at Oxford. Their affair, however, is fraught with difficulty that soon escalates to horror.
