River Between Us

In this story set during the first year of the American Civil War, 15-year-old Tilly Pruitt is intrigued when her mother allows two mysterious women to board at their house. Could one of these women actually be an escaped slave? To further complicate matters, Tilly worries about the fact that her sister is haunted by supernatural visions and fears that her older brother is contemplating joining the army.
